
Nisrine Sarkis
Nisrine is a Beirut-based Graphic Designer and Art Director known for a strong belief that good design transcends trends, avoids false promises, and maintains meaningful integrity. With a passion for Arabic typography and cultural heritage, she earned a Master's degree in Graphic Design before joining WonderEight from 2007 to 2016, managing diverse projects from conception to production. In 2016, Nisrine transitioned to freelancing, tackling complex projects in visual identities, publications, and packaging. Specializing in typography and lettering, she holds two type design certificates from type@paris (2015) and ATDB (2016). Additionally, Nisrine began teaching Typography I, II, and III at the LAU School of Architecture and Design in 2016.
Nisrine's talk centered around the story of her Arabic lettering work after ATDB 2016, what she learned and how she moved forward with her own experimentations in Arabic lettering.
